Superiority

Iron(iii) phosphate tetrahydrate

CAS: 10045-86-0; 31096-47-6
Chemical formula: FeO4P

nature
Monoclinic crystalline or amorphous powder of grayish white or light pink color. Density 2.74g/cm3. Soluble in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, insoluble in cold water and nitric acid.

preparation
The solution of ferrous nitrate is heated to 95 ~ 110℃ to dissolve it completely. In the presence of oxidant, arsenic and heavy metal removal agents were added to purify and filter the solution to remove arsenic and heavy metal impurities. Then the refined ferrous nitrate solution is added to the reactor, and the refined concentrated phosphoric acid and pure ferric phosphate species that have been removed by arsenic are added under agitation, and the heated reaction is generated under constant agitation, and the ferric phosphate precipitate is filtered, washed and dried to obtain ferric phosphate. Or add ferrous sulfate to distilled water and heat all dissolved, in the presence of oxidizer, add arsenic-removing agent and heavy metal removing agent for solution purification and filtration, add refined ferrous sulfate solution to the reactor, add refined concentrated phosphoric acid that has been removed by arsenic under agitation, and then add refined sodium chlorate solution, reaction at 85℃. Slowly add the edible caustic soda solution, adjust the pH value to 2 ~ 6, precipitate the iron phosphate, filter and dry, to obtain the iron phosphate.

use
Used as an iron fortification agent in the food industry. Its performance is stable, not easy to react and affect food quality, is an ideal iron source preparation, mostly used in protein, rice products and paste products.

Manufacture lithium iron phosphate battery materials, catalysts and ceramics

security
GRAS(FDA, § 182.5301, 2000). Should be stored in a cool, ventilated, dry, clean warehouse, moisture-proof. Prevent pollution by toxic and harmful substances, and shall not be stored and transported together with toxic and harmful substances. Be protected from rain and sun during transportation. Handle with care during loading and unloading to avoid breakage of the packing. In case of fire, water, sand and various fire extinguishers can be used to put out the fire.
